We just released the version 2.0.0-alpha of GitBook. This version includes many changes and some exciting improvements !
Many authors use GitBook as part of a team (company/university/…) collaboratively authoring books or documentation together. A highly requested feature was to be able structure those teams inside GitBook, this is now possible !
2014 has been GitBook’s first year. In just a few months, we’ve grown to a community of over 20,000 authors (and growing), reaching more than half a million ebook downloads and ten millions book views.

During the last month, more than a thousand books have been published to GitBook, today we are releasing an OPDS feed to browse the GitBook library.
